e-cloth prides itself equally on being both the best way to clean and the safest way to clean. What would be the point of being chemical-free if the performance suffered? e-cloth’s new High Performance Dusting & Cleaning Glove easily removes dust, pollen, dirt, grease and oil from hard surfaces, especially on difficult areas like blinds. Particles are trapped inside until the Glove is rinsed which means they’re not floating in the air as potential allergens.
Below is a review of e-cloth’s High Performance Dusting & Cleaning Glove from Emily at The Innovative Mama. It’s safe to say that the Dusting Glove exceeded her expectations.
I’ve been itching to do some kind of giveaway, and so partnered with E-Cloth again (please see my previous review on their Floor and Wall Duster here). This time I got to try out their High Performance Dusting and Cleaning Glove. Same as the Floor and Wall Duster, I liked the added eco-friendly benefits to cleaning my house. The idea of using something without chemicals while I have a baby crawling around is a definite added perk.
I deliberately picked this one with a purpose in mind. When I saw the picture of it, and saw the use of it on the blinds, I knew I had to try it. I don’t know about the rest of you, but sometimes I feel like my mother must secretly keep a white glove in her pocket when she comes over to my house and must slip it on and run it along my stuff to see how dirty and dusty it might be. I say this because she has remarked more times than I can count about how filthy my blinds are. (even if it’s true, must it continue to be pointed out?) And I must say, honestly, I couldn’t even tell you the last time these blinds were cleaned. Certainly not since we moved into this house a year and a half ago. And I can almost guarantee that the woman (hoarder) who lived there before us did not do detailed cleaning much.
So, yes. I wanted this glove. So I could clean my blinds and feel better about the cleanliness of my house while also enjoying the added perk of having one less thing pointed out to me the next time my mother came over.
I added a little water and went to town. The amount of dust that came off the blinds and onto the glove was shocking. What was great, however, was that there wasn’t dust floating all around me in the air like happens when you use, say a Swiffer duster or something. I didn’t feel like I was breathing any in. Which was great! It all clung to the glove.
You can spread your fingers out to get several blinds at once, as shown above. Or sometimes for more detail just a couple of fingers do the trick too.
The blinds were so dirty that I went to the sink, rinsed the glove with water, and then re-used it. The gloves have a 300-wash guarantee as well so it will last us a long time. Think of the savings in paper towels or disposable dusters with something like this! (I will advise to run this through the wash once before using. This way any fibers that want to come off the glove are tended to before you start dusting.)
